There are times when I want to let my geekiness out and I want the world to know about it. I decided to share with you my favorite collection of Linux t-shirts that you also might like. Please share your ideas for healthy geeking in the comments.

    C:\DOS>

    C:\DOS> run

    run\DOS\run

    go make a new tshirt ;)

    nice, i’liked most the 666 post.

    regarding the DOS command, i think it bares both slash and backslash.
    please correct me if i got it wrong.

    I’m a big fan of the 666 one and the C:\DOS\RUN one – I hadn’t seem them before. The others I’ve seen in various signatures and things.

    In DOS, the forward slash would only be used for switches as in DIR/W.

    Pathnames would use the backslash only. The backslash meant “directory”, basically. So the “proper” syntax would be:

    C:\DOS
    C:\DOS\RUN
    RUN \DOS\RUN

    Note the space after the RUN on the third line. It’s implied that the first RUN is an executable, not part of the directory structure. RUN is not a native DOS command, but many of us built batch files (scripts) and it would not be surprising to find run.bat among them.
